    Warren Samuel BSc, O.D. has been with Kipling Family Eyecare since 1995. Dr. Samuel graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1994 and worked as an associate in Scarborough for one year before opening his Etobicoke practice in 1995. He is a general practitioner, but his interests extend to pediatric care, contact lens fitting,co-management of LASIK eye surgery, and ocular diseases. He is trained to co-manage PRK and LASIK, and is an Affiliate of TLC laser centre. He had LASIK performed on himself in 1999, and he has a license to prescribe Therapeutic Pharmacological Agents for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases

    Dr. Samuel cares deeply about his geriatric patients. He was the resident optometrist at Versa Care Nursing in Etobicoke from 1997 – 2017 and Extended Care Nursing Home from 2001 -2016. He focuses not only on primary vision care, but also on treating eye infections, eye emergencies, and co-managing diabetes and glaucoma. He strives to provide a high level of patient care and excellent customer service

    One of his major priories is to utilize the advanced technology to provide a high level of patient care and excellent customer service, and he believes in the importance of educating his patients on eye care and strives to make sure all of their questions are answered.

    In his free time, Dr. Samuel enjoys playing golf, cycling, fishing, and being outdoors. He is married and has two active boys.

  • Jo-Anne Monteiro O. D.

    Dr. Jo-Anne Monteiro graduated from MM Robinson High School in Burlington and then completed her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1985 from the University of Waterloo. After gaining valuable experience in optometric care while working at various optometric clinics in southern Ontario, she opened this clinic in 1998, growing it into a full scope family orientated progressive clinic that prides itself on offering exceptional service and quality eye wear products. Her mission statement: A visible difference in professional eye care!

    She is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists. For many years she has given multiple talks to various organizations about the importance of eye care, especially children eye care, and sponsored many local teams and clubs in the Burlington community. When not at work, you will find her relaxing with her family or scuba diving with her husband.

  • Margaret Corey O. D.

    Dr. Margaret Corey completed her undergraduate degree and then her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in 1999. While pursuing her Optometry degree she completed an externship at Barnet-Dulaney Eye Center in Mesa, Arizona, where she was actively involved in the pre and post-operative management of cataract, glaucoma, refractive procedures, and retinal disease. She also participated in a volunteer mission to central Mexico as a part of the I-Care International organization performing free eye examinations to a community in need.

    Dr. Corey spent the first 6 years of her career in London Ontario in a private optometry practice as well as at TLC London where she was responsible for patient care on surgical days and was the emergency on-call Optometrist after hours. Twelve years ago Dr. Corey joined Dr. Jo-Anne Monteiro and Associates and has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of a growing and progressive full scope optometric practice.

    Dr. Corey is an active member of the Oakville Soccer Club and the Oakville Curling Club and shares her love of sports, travel and the outdoors with her husband and young children.

  • Melanie Fox-Chen O. D.

    Dr. Melanie Fox-Chen completed her Bachelor of Science at McMaster University before earning her Doctor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo in 2018. During her fourth year at school, she interned at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas where she managed patients with various ocular diseases including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. She has also volunteered in Ecuador on a mission trip where she provided vision care to underprivileged communities. Dr. Fox-Chen grew up in Burlington and she is happy to return home and give back to her community.
